Rock formation in South Serbia.
My first trip took place during the war, 1999, under the fear of the NATO bombs. I followed my vocation when I was asked to enjoy (like a photographer), a medicine consignment by trucks, an offer from my town to Aleksinac.
I like through this page, to let everyone know, how much I admired these simple people
for their Human dignity, courage, and the humorous disposition against fear of the unknown! Twelve years later and after a lot of trips there as a tourist/ traveller. I recommend that everyone have to visit Serbia. A friendly, welcoming country with great landscapes and cities, villages, monasteries and the main thing, lovely people. I wish to all the people I have met there, or not, a peaceful life.
Hungry? This is what my friend and I had for lunch in Southern Serbia, in a small village near the town of Leskovac, where a rostiljijada (ro-schteel-yee-ya-da) or grilled meat festival is held every year in September.
